BIOGRAPHY:

Carlos Galeano is a visual artist and muralist painter
and investigator of the visual arts.

He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He studied in the National School of Fine Arts "Manuel Belgrano" in Buenos Aires and made studies in Latin American institute of Cooperation of Madrid.
He lived and he worked in Brazil and in The United States. From year 2002 he lives and he has a workshop in Palma de Majorca.

His work are characterized by the force, sensitivity and beauty, the use of the line and the synthesis of the form in harmonic compositions of universal character, with a powerful and austere execution at the same time, made in diverse techniques and materials.

He exposed his work in museums, galleries, fairs of art and international foundations.

Passionately fond of mural, at the 22 years of age, still a fine arts student, he receives his first great challenge like a wall painter: they order to him to paint the Cupola of the Russian Orthodox cathedral of Buenos Aires (100m2). It takes to him seven years of his life, between trips of study (Spain and Italy) and investigations of the painting and architecture Greek, Italian and Russian, the old techniques of the mural and the religious symbolism.
Later, he makes murals in another cathedral and in two churches, a total of 1.000 m2 of wall painting.

In 1988 he travels to Boston invited to a congress as an iconographor.
He makes a scenography for the work "Nutcrackers" in the Metropolitan theater of New York.
In 1989 he represents his country in an important cultural interchange exposing and giving conferences in different cities of the United States.

He returns to Buenos Aires in 1990 and works in new paintings. He exhibits and participates in various cultural and educative projects.
In 1997 he published his book "Mental Scheme" of artistic and functional design.
That same year makes new trips of study to France, England and Spain

In 2002 and 2003 he is patronage by the Ministry of Foreign affairs of Argentina to develop his projects in Europe. After several stays of work and study in different cities of Spain he decides to install his atelier in the historic center of Palma de Mallorca, near the sea, attracted by the light and the nature of the Island and by his own Mediterranean origins.

At the moment he develops projects of public art, artistic interventions and sculptures for natural and urban spaces.

His activities as an artist are documented in numerous audio-visual media and in publications at national and international level.
